Our Purpose: To know Jesus Christ and make Him known. . Our mission:
By individual commitment to Christ, through worship and prayer, and by growing to be like Christ.
By keeping the Bible central, studying and teaching it so we may know God and live for him.
By forming the kind of relationship with each other that enable us to carry out God's commands for mutual care and encouragement.
By using the talents and resources God has given us to be an active part of God's work in the world.
About the Church
As a nondenominational community church, we welcome anyone to come and worship with us. The purposes of our church are worship, spiritual growth, fellowship, teaching, and evangelism. Our church service is informal, reflecting the area in which we live, and we are serious about our walk with God. We have a Sunday school, youth activities, midweek Bible studies, and other seasonal events. We support several missionaries as well as local Christian and benevolent projects. We
believe the Bible is God's Word and is the authority for Christian
life and faith. We believe God is the Creator and Sustainer of
all life. We believe Jesus Christ is God's Son and our only savior.
We believe the Hold Spirit indwells all believers enabling them
to experience his gifts and fruit and that He empowers us for
holy living. We believe in baptism by immersion, although we recognize
other forms of baptism as well.
Sunday School: Classes available for all ages, a nursery is available. Small Groups: vary from time to time, please contact office for information, also refer to the newsletter for additional details about the current groups meeting. Special Events: Our church offers various events throughout the year. We have dinners, special music events at the church and local park along with special holiday gatherings. The Church at Redstone also participates with Redstone's annual Fall Art Walk, hosting an artist each year. Please see our newsletter for the current events for the month. Missions We Currently Support: The following is a list of the seven missionaries that Church at Redstone regularly supports financiallty along with their address and a general description of their focus. Church at Resdstone has comiitted 15% of our annual budget to missions. One of our missionaries works within a "closed" country therefore we are unable to list the address at this time.
Buan & Theresa Anderson 42 Allee des Volieres 73000 Chambery, France The Andersons are with TEAM and are working near Grenoble in southeast France. They work in youth ministry at mountain camp settings and are helping establish and support new churches. Church at Redstone just began contributing to their ministry this year when they first went to France.
Richard & Jennifer Beckham 2220 Silkwood Drive Colorado Springs, CO 80920 e-mail: RBeckham@GEmission.com After about 20 years of servicing the missions in Europe, the Beckhams are now back living in Colorado, working in the main office of Greater Europe Mission. Richard reviews and researches the overall Christian work in Europe and helps fill in any gaps including youth camps and church planting. Ashley & Becky Nexus Vivus International 5948 East Caley Avenue Centennial, CO 80111 Their focus is on preparing indigenous leaders to take the Gospel into the Pacific region. Marble Retreat 181 Bannockburn Marble, Co 81623 Steve and Patti Cappa are the directors. Marble Retreat ministers to clergy. Marble Retreat International P.O. Box 176 Carbondale, CO 81623 Louis and Melissa McBurney are taking the ministry of Marble Retreat worldwide so as to more effectively serve missionaries and clergy in other countries. They offer clergy care sessions in Kenya and Thailand each year.
Steve & Rita Williams Mission to the World P.O. Box 116284 Atlanta, GA 30368-6284 After about 15 years of working to establish and serve in a clergy care facility in Europe, the Williams family has moved to New Zealand to start a new work there. They are helping start New Zealand Grace Community Church, and plan to also offer counseling and psychiatric care to clergy and missionaries throughout the South pacific region.
